Troy Albrecht, O.D.
Dr. Troy Albrecht is the president and co-founder of Insight Vision. Originally from West Des Moines, he attended Villanova University where he attained a bachelor’s degree in Biology. He then attended the prestigious Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where he achieved clinical honors in primary care, pediatrics, and ocular disease. After many years in practice, Dr. Albrecht has special interest in the treatment of glaucoma, dry eyes, and the fitting of special contacts for both bifocals and astigmatism. During his free time, he enjoys shuttling his two children to their many activities, biking and still plays in an adult hockey league.
Doug Hand, O.D.
Dr. Douglas Hand has been caring for patients at Insight Vision since 1991. Dr. Hand graduated from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa with a degree in biology. Next, he attended the University of Houston College of Optometry where he received his Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Hand began fitting corneal refractive therapy (CRT) lenses in 1998. Since then, he’s successfully fit over 500 patients with these specialty contact lenses. In his free time, he enjoys activities with his family and golfing.
Lori Digmann, O.D.
Dr. Lori Digmann, a graduate of Central Community High School, grew up in Elkader, Iowa. She attended the University of Northern Iowa where she majored in biology and minored in chemistry. Dr. Digmann continued her education at Ohio State University, graduating from the College of Optometry with honors. She practiced in Muscatine for a year before moving to Cedar Rapids in 2000 when she joined Insight Vision Iowa. Dr. Digmann particularly enjoys working with children and the challenge of multifocal contact lens fits. Dr. Digmann and her family attend St. Pius X Catholic Church where she, her husband, and two sons are heavily involved. She enjoys traveling, reading, biking, and supporting her kids in their activities.
Alaina Blake, O.D.
Dr. Alaina Blake was born and raised in Tyndall, SD. She graduated magna cum laude with honors from the University of South Dakota, majoring in Biology. Dr. Blake was awarded a Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri – St. Louis College of Optometry. She is a member of the Iowa Optometric Association, Phi Beta Kappa, a prestigious academic honor society, and Beta Sigma Kappa, an international optometric honor society. Dr. Blake enjoys providing comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages, and she especially enjoys working with children. She likes to spend her free time with her husband, Matt, and their dogs, Henry and Gus.
